Suede is the napped underside of the hide, softer to the touch and more open than full-grain, so it takes on dirt and water more easily. Scuffs and flattened nap are normal and can be lifted with a soft brush, working in one direction to bring the texture back. Suede is a natural material and may transfer color. Be mindful when wearing with lighter garments and avoid rain and other moisture.
