Where you’ll fit in

The Production Coordinator leads and supervises a team of 7-10 Makers at our Louisville, KY, workshop. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment that values collaboration, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic. The ability to prioritize projects, multi-task, and stick to deadlines is essential. You will have an immediate impact on our production capabilities, while sharpening your skills and establishing your role in a quickly growing company. 

 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Acquire complete, prolific understanding of our production processes and quality standards during a 6 month training period.
  • Maintain accountability for products produced by your team of 7-10 direct reports based on metrics such as efficiency and quality.
  • Continually utilize critical thinking skills to improve processes and efficiencies in our workshop.
  • Perform your duties with a consistently high level of craftsmanship.
  • Adhere to high quality standards for yourself and your team.
  • Communicate effectively with your team and the Production Team at large.
  • Use various hand tools to assemble raw materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished goods.

 

What you’ll bring to the table

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors in Management, Fine Arts, or related field preferred
  • A high degree of ownership, accountability, and initiative
  • Familiarity with machinery or proof of mechanical aptitude (sewing machine proficiency preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Multitasking skills and the ability to adjust to frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a proactive drive to tackle time-sensitive benchmarks
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, and problem solving skills
  • Dedication to maintaining a consistently high level of craftsmanship
  • Ability to consistently execute repetitive tasks
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry boxes up to 40 pounds

 

Job Details

  • This is a full-time position, working 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a 30 minute break for lunch.
  • Overtime will be available during the busy holiday season.
